The conference call company at Video Zoom opened a local representative office in Israel a few months ago, and recruited a number of local employees.
The launch of the new local representative office is part of Zoom's attempt to expand its foothold in Israel, mainly among large organizations in the private sector, but also among financial and government bodies. The delegation currently numbers only three people - the activity is headed by Alma Kanz and Rafi Shaltiel, who were recruited to Zoom from Cisco.
The new local representative works in parallel with two official Zoom distributors that are already operating in Israel today - Touch Conference and Nautech. The companies are allowed to sell zoom licenses to organizations, and provide implementation and support services.
While small users and teams can sign up to zoom independently, larger organizations typically need close support and guidance from the company. To date, small and medium-sized organizations in Israel have received support from Zoom offices in Amsterdam, but the company has permeated the understanding that local operations are needed to sell more to large organizations - with hundreds or more - many of whom traditionally use conferencing systems such as Cisco or Microsoft Teams. These organizations have complex requirements regarding information security; Adapting the product to the enterprise systems; Additional advanced features like enterprise chat or cloud telephony system; Connection to existing video calling systems in conference rooms, adjusted pricing, and more.
The widespread use of zoom has not missed Israel, and it is popular in the education system and in many organizations that use it for online meetings and meetings. There are countless small businesses that also use Zoom software, for example to deliver lessons and lectures remotely, but many of them use the free version or the basic payment versions. In terms of Zoom, the most lucrative clients in which it is interested in investing are the large organizations that pay for licenses to use hundreds and thousands of employees - and this is the reason for its investment in this sector in Israel and around the world.
