A ranking published in the New York Times shows that Israel is in sixth place in the world in terms of the number of new infections per day per million inhabitants. In the first places in the ranking are the Gulf states of Oman and Bahrain, where the virus is spreading rapidly, especially among foreign workers.
Before Israel, which affects about 200 people per million inhabitants a day, are Oman, Bahrain, Panama, South Africa and the United States. In Oman, which leads the ranking, more than 300 people per million inhabitants are infected per day, as of the end of July. After Israel in the ranking are Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, and Kuwait.
The paper naturally focused on the rate of spread of the virus in the US and stressed that it is particularly severe when compared to the situation in other large countries in a similar economic situation.
For example, South Korea stood out in the rate of outbreak recorded at the beginning of the epidemic, but large-scale tests and comprehensive epidemiological investigations halted the spread: South Korea today has the lowest rate of spread in the group of countries compared to the US.
Moreover, in Italy and Spain some of the most severe eruptions of Corona occurred at the beginning of the road, before serious steps were taken which led to a decrease in the number of new cases in them. Now, some of the schools in these countries have opened, citizens have returned to work, and tourists are on holiday there.
Even Sweden, where the government has chosen not to adopt the stricter closure unlike its neighbors, has seen a decline in the number of cases in Corona.
On Saturday evening it became clear that there was a sharp increase in the number of corona patients breathing and the number of those who died from the plague complications: according to the corona data updated on Saturday evening by the Ministry of Health, 1,770 were diagnosed positive for the virus on Friday. Results of 23,153 tests were obtained yesterday and the positive rate for the virus remained high - 8.2% yesterday.
The number of deaths increased by seven compared to yesterday and 455 patients died from the outbreak of the plague. There was also an alarming increase in the number of respirators - in just one day it increased from 84 to 94 respirators. The condition of 312 patients is severely defined.
The Ministry of Health stated that due to a malfunction, the data are updated today at noon and not in the evening, the date of their publication. According to the Ministry of Health, 60,496 Israelis became infected with the corona virus after the outbreak of the plague. 33,160 out of the total number of patients are active patients, which is the number of patients less than the number of recovering and dead.
However, the number of active patients should actually be much lower. Although official announcements have been made, the Ministry of Health has not yet updated the number of recoverers - after thousands of infected people were defined as recovering due to the new guidelines. Clalit Health Fund noted more than 4,400 Corona patients who were in home hospitalization and in a hotel were released and defined as recovering from Corona, in Maccabi 3,500 insured who recovered and in Leumit - 1,200.
From Sunday to Saturday noon, 10,967 new infections were diagnosed in Israel. By comparison, a total of 10,182 patients were diagnosed each April - some of which were closed. That is, more patients were diagnosed this week than in the most difficult month in the first wave.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, as of Sunday, 1,791 new infections were diagnosed in Jerusalem, 1,020 in Bnei Brak, 440 in Tel Aviv, 419, in Beit Shemesh, 348 in Petah Tikva, 300 in Beitar Illit, 281 in Ashdod, 262 in Holon, 261 in Modi'in Illit, 254 in Haifa, 241 in Beer Seven, 238 in Qalansawa, 233 in Elad, 204 in Rishon Lezion, 183 in Lod, 180 in Ashkelon, 168 in Netanya, 155 in Ramla, 141 in Bat Yam, 131 in Rehovot, 127 in Ramat Gan, 121 in Nazareth, 119 in Taibeh and Kiryat Gat. 100 new infections have been diagnosed in the last seven days.

The number of those deemed infected raises because the number of those being tested raises. What is significant is the percentage of those tested who are declared infected. As you mentioned, that percentage has gone down! What is truly significant is the percentage that die. There have been 58,559 people declared infected and 446 have died. That is a death rate of 0.0076 of 0.76%. Further more it has been pointed out that LESS people have died so far this year than in the same time period for the past two years. So why all this hysteria???
