American giant Cisco acquired the Israeli start-up Epsagon for $ 400 million

What Epsgon does is automate the analysis of cloud applications in a micro-service environment, a question of small servers. Their use is designed so that each of them can be assigned to perform a different task, thus streamlining the work. The technology is intended for companies operating in the structure of DevOps teams, which develop applications on a distributed cloud environment. In a press release issued after the company's recruitment in January 2020, Shapira said: "Distributed cloud services allow companies and organizations to build apps faster than ever; but understanding what really works and what doesn't, remains a challenge."
Cisco announced in May the acquisition of the Israeli start-up company Sedona, which has developed software to optimize the operation of Internet communication networks. The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but it is estimated at $ 100 million.
The technology developed by Sedona is supposed to solve a problem facing Internet providers in Israel and around the world: over the years, the Internet infrastructure has been built layer upon layer of different solutions that have come from many manufacturers and providers. To avoid bottlenecks and load problems, suppliers need to hire technicians and engineers and outside companies to connect all of these layers. Sedona has developed a unified software system with management and analytics capabilities, designed to connect the various layers more efficiently, and allows them to be managed as one unified infrastructure.
