A cyber attack on Neta Barzilai in the Eurovision Song Contest was preceded by B.D.S. The attackers created an extreme and unusual load on the application's servers, and their purpose was to remove them from the system and thus neutralize the application to support its Israeli representative.
In addition, the Facebook page promoting the application and Twitter have also been filled with messages and responses characterized by the B.D.S organization, which contains the texts Boycott Israel, free Palestine !! #BDS #Eurovision #ZeroPointsIsrael.
"The company's technical team, with the assistance of an information security company, was working to bring back a number of systems that were attacked," said Gil Rabbi, CEO of the company Rabi interactive, which developed the application and experienced cyber attacks. He said that unfortunately, since Facebook is not doing anything to filter the BDS network violence, its people have been forced to freeze the viewing of Facebook pages outside of Israel in order to stop the wave of attacks. In fact, the BDS achieved what they wanted, isolating Israeli content from the rest of the world. "At the moment, we have deleted the offensive responses so that at least the surfers from the country will enjoy visiting the page."
The app that was attacked uses the mobile phone camera to simulate the people photographed in Neta Barzilai, while the song "TOY" is playing in the background. The app enables the production of fun videos and photos in the form of Neta, for sharing on social networks to support it.
