Today, the EU's new Internet privacy and information regulations are in force. The regulations apply to organizations and business companies, and they have many demands on how to collect, store and use information from their customers. Among other things, users should be given easy access to the information collected on them, allowing them to correct, delete or remove information stored in the company's databases. The strict laws will not apply to most Israeli companies, but only to Israeli businesses operating in Europe or to Israeli businesses serving Israeli citizens with European passports. Our correspondent notes that in recent weeks, several large companies have transferred the information about their Israeli customers, which has been stored in Europe, to servers in the United States
