Strauss Group profit for 1st quarter: NIS 146 million

Strauss Group published its financial results for the first quarter of 2018 and showed an increase both in the top line and in the bottom line. The company's board of directors approved the distribution of a dividend of NIS 160 million.
According to reports published by the company, Strauss' total sales in the first quarter of 2018 amounted to NIS 2.16 billion, an increase of 4% compared with NIS 2.08 billion in the corresponding quarter of last year, when gross profit totaled NIS 833 million, About 6.8% compared with the same quarter in 2008. Gross margin increased by 1%.
On the bottom line, Strauss concludes the first quarter with a 26.9% increase in net profit attributable to the company's shareholders, which you estimated at NIS 146 million, compared to NIS 116 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Earnings per share amounted to NIS 1.28, an increase of 18.8% compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
