Dropbox opened its new office on the 44th floor of the Azrieli Sarona Tower, the tallest building in Israel. Quentin Clark, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Product and Design at Dropbox, came from San Francisco to mark the occasion. Along with Meir Morgenstern, Dropbox Israel Site Lead, he spoke to press about the importance of the Tel Aviv office as an international center of R&D, as well as the growth and vision of Dropbox, which went public in the U.S. earlier this year.
About 40 employees currently work for Dropbox Tel Aviv, and the team has room to double in its new office space. It is the second largest Dropbox office outside the U.S. The Tel Aviv team develops administrator controls and other features important to Dropbox Business customers. Dropbox first established a presence in Israel in 2015 when it acquired the mobile productivity startup CloudOn.
Quentin Clark, SVP of Engineering, Product and Design at Dropbox, said: “I’m delighted to be back in Tel Aviv to open our new R&D Center. Having managed engineering teams in Israel for many years in previous roles, I know Dropbox will benefit from the country’s exceptional engineering talent and thriving tech ecosystem. Our presence here will only become more important as we grow.”
