Approximately 2,000 participants from across Israel took part this weekend in the Israeli Folk Dance Festival at the Club Hotel Eilat. The event, conducted by national folk dance leader Gadi Biton, celebrated Israeli cultural heritage with four days of dance sessions, performances, workshops, and community activities.
The CAMP Festival “On the Move” hosted dozens of folk dance events and cultural experiences around the clock, accompanied by culinary offerings and performances from well-known artists including Danny Sanderson, Far Tassi, Shimi Tavori, Harel Skaat, and stand-up comedian Uri Breuer, among others.
“A 24-Hour Celebration of Movement and Joy”
Gadi Biton, regarded as one of Israel’s leading figures in folk dance and cultural preservation, described the weekend as:
“An exciting Israeli celebration of 24 hours a day for four days — dancing, competitions, joy, and an electrifying atmosphere — all across six different areas of the Club Hotel.”
“Culture, Zionism, and Connection”
Batsheva Boublil, owner of the Club Hotel chain, said:
“The CAMP Festival ‘On the Move’ was a moving celebration of dance, joy, culture, Zionism, and human connection.”
The festival is considered one of the largest gatherings in Israel dedicated to folk dance culture, drawing both veteran dancers and new participants from diverse regions and backgrounds.
