Satcom signed an agreement with a mobile company in Congo

Satcom has signed an agreement with a leading mobile communications company in Congo, Africa, according to which O3b satellite communications services will be provided to the customer for a period that began in March 2018 and until December 2019, for a total consideration of $ 5.3 million.
This is a continuing engagement with the customer, which in this transaction expanded the O3b capacity provided to it by the Company. The updated contract also includes upgrades of existing lines and also of the new site.
The O3B project has unique technology that significantly reduces data transmission times and is a leading alternative to fiber optics for communications providers in emerging markets.
In 2016, Satcom expanded its operations in the field of providing satellite communications services in Africa through this venture.
The technology is based on the operation of 12 satellites by O3b that surround the earth at a height of about 8,000 km and provide a quality service characterized by a very low delay of 180 milliseconds.
