Supreme Court ordered Facebook to stop blocking Facebook and Instagram accounts of Israeli NSO employees

The Supreme Court rejected Facebook's appeal and ordered it to stop blocking Facebook and Instagram accounts owned by the Israeli cyber company NSO, and two former employees of the company. This is in line with a decision by the Tel Aviv District Court in February, which accepted the employee's and two former employees' request to remove them from Facebook's social networks.
In October 2019, the 100 Facebook and Instagram accounts of about 100 NSO employees and their family members were abruptly blocked. Facebook has blamed the company's employees for assisting with the assault on the WhatsApp message service it owns, thus blocking all employees it has located.
In November, eight of the company's employees filed a lawsuit against the social network demanding that they return the accounts to the activity, alleging that it violated the contract. Facebook has decided to appeal this decision to the Supreme Court.
The source of the conflict between the two companies is a lawsuit filed by the social network against NSO in the US, according to which Facebook claims the offensive cyber company exploited a breach in Wattsap and used it to spy on about 100 journalists and human rights activists. The US proceeding is still ongoing.
