Hungarian airline Wizz Air has announced that it will launch a new flight line between Milan and Tel Aviv as early as next July.
The line will start operating on July 17, 2020 and will offer seven weekly flights at the frequency of daily flights. The airline's announcement comes along with its announcement this week of the opening of three new bases next month: Larnaka, Milan and Tirana. Establishing bases will make it accessible to other cities and cultures for the Company's passengers and contribute to their continued growth as a world-class cultural and tourism destination in addition to the 400 new job opportunities the company offers.
The new base, which will open in July 2020 in Milan, will offer 20 lines to 11 countries, including the launch of the Tel Aviv line, with tickets already available for purchase at the company's site starting at NIS 119 (€ 30).
Remember, Wiz Air suspended all its flights to Israel on March 12 this month due to the Corona virus, announcing its return to Israel on May 1 with the Vienna-Tel Aviv line.
The airline has begun May 1 to implement the new hygiene standards throughout its flights, already from the boarding stage for the benefit of passengers and crew. To reduce non-essential interaction at the airport, Wizair is asking passengers as part of these measures and in addition to keeping distance at all stages of the flight, checking in and making purchases such as paying for more bags online.
Despite the high efficiency (99.7%) of HEPA filters across all aircraft, crews and passengers will be required to wear masks throughout the flight. Other precautionary measures include: distributing disinfectant wipes to each passenger, removing the magazines from the aircraft, and failure to receive cash on the aircraft. On flights where the load factor allows, the crew will monitor the distance between seats and passengers. Also, the aircraft will undergo daily disinfection, in accordance with official guidelines.
Joseph Varadi, CEO of Wizz Air said: "We are excited to announce the establishment of three new bases that have been expressing the growth of the company since its debut flight. The company has the strongest liquidity in Europe and leads with a young and efficient aircraft fleet, with the lowest carbon footprint. We will continue to lead and service our customers with new and extremely stringent health and hygiene measures at attractive prices. "
Wizayer is the largest Low Coast company in Central and Eastern Europe. The company operates a fleet of 122 Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Airbus A321neo aircraft. Over six years of activity in the country, more than 1.5 million passengers have flown from Israel to and from the company.
