The average salary for January in Israel rose to NIS 10,208

The average salary for January continued to rise and amounted to NIS 10,208, an increase of 2.4%. This emerges from data from the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The highest average wage was in the information and communications industry, which includes a large part of high-tech professions: NIS 21,725. In second place was the financial services and insurance sector: 19,013. In the financial services and insurance sector, the average wage per employee post increased by an annual 7.5% in November 2017-January 2018, following an increase of 10.1% in August-October. In the information and communications industry, the average wage rose by 6.2% in November-January.
 
The industry in third place in the field of average wages is the infrastructure sector, which includes electricity, water, sewage and garbage: NIS 17,320.
 
The average wage in the field of education is much lower than the average wage in the economy: only NIS 7,803. The proposed wage in the field of health, welfare and nursing is slightly higher than in education: NIS 8,718. The lowest average wage is as usual in the hospitality and food services - NIS 4,878
 
In the banking sector salaries in January amounted to 26,112. The average wage of an employee in the banking system was the highest in January among the other financial sectors. CBS data for January 2018 show that in the insurance and pension industry the average wage was NIS 14,492, and the average wage per employee in non-banking financial institutions and non-bank lenders was NIS 16,792
