Freelancer's average salary in Israel is $ 42 an hour - twice the global average

Posted on Feb 10, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Freelancer's average salary in Israel is $ 42 an hour, according to a study conducted by the international money transfer company Pioneer (Payoneer). The global average wage is $ 21 an hour, so Israelis earn double hourly wages from their counterparts in other countries. Pioneer provides freelance service for global payments. The company has more than 4 million customers, from 150 countries working in a variety of areas including content writing, translation, construction and website design, project management, multimedia productions, marketing and sales, customer service and administration.
According to Pioneer's report, the global employment market can reward external older workers for their years of experience. Freelance earning is 55-64 and reaches $ 36 an hour, while young people up to 24 have to settle for $ 16 on average.
The report reveals that by 2020, gender pay gaps still exist in all regions of the world. The average salary for freelance is 84% of a man's average salary. This difference is lower than the women's global salary, which is only 64% of the male workers' salary.
An interesting conclusion to be drawn from Pioneer's report that the global employment market is of little importance to the issue of education. The average salary of an undergraduate is $ 22. Surprisingly, the average salary of those with a bachelor's degree falls to $ 19. Masters and above earn an average of $ 24.
According to Johnny Steel, VP of Marketing at Pioneer, the trend of employing outsourced workers worldwide is increasing thanks to the benefits of finding suitable employees who are not often geographically close to the employer. Israeli companies and organizations can have a particularly big advantage in hiring overseas workers due to high wages in Israel. And the shortage of employees in certain areas, especially in high-tech development roles.
Pioneer is one of the largest payment transfer companies in the world and operates in more than 200 countries in 150 different currencies. The company facilitates the transfer of payments between businesses and companies, helps them reach new audiences and operates in the expanding field of transferring money outside the banking system. Pioneer serves as a payment transfer infrastructure for leading corporations, including Amazon, Google, Airbnb, and Fiverr. The company has 1400 employees worldwide, of whom 800 are in the largest development center in Israel and is in the process of absorbing additional employees.
