Posted on Mar 5, 2018 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The Authority for Investment in the Ministry of Economics summarizes the employment tracks last year, which indicate that the total amount of assistance for the employment of some 1,300 employees was NIS 140 million. Minister of Economy Eli Cohen said that encouraging the employment of new populations that are not included in the labor market is essential for reducing social gaps in Israeli society and will increase economic growth.
Two tracks were assisted by workers from the weaker sectors. 106 applications were submitted and 77 were approved. The approved budget for assistance in this track totaled more than NIS 77 million. The amount of aid to the worker in this track is about NIS 55,000 and the assistance is 30 months.
Twelve applications were submitted in the second track, ten of which were approved. Approved budget for this track
About 80 million shekels. The Ministry of Economics expects an increase of 268 jobs. The scope of assistance to an employee in this track is approximately NIS 300,000 per worker for a period of four years.
The program assists investors who wish to establish, expand or change their place of reference to national priority areas. Assistance to high-tech companies in these areas affects the demographic fabric of these areas and enables educated young people to gain quality jobs in priority areas that are usually socially and economically disadvantaged.
