The annual delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IM.F) opened its discussions in Israel
To the head of the current delegation Craig Beaumont, was accompanied by economists Aiko Mineshima, Vina Nguyen and Henrique Chociay
As always, the delegation will hold consultations with the heads of the economy, both in the public sector and in the private sector. The delegation will meet with the Minister of Finance, Mr. Moshe Kahlon, the Director General of the Ministry of Finance Shai Babbad and senior officials of his ministry, the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Dr. Karnit Flug, and senior officials of the Bank of Israel. The Manufacturers' Association, the General Federation of Labor, academics and others.
Upon completion of its visit to Israel on March 14, the delegation will present a preliminary report to the Minister of Finance and the Bank of Israel, followed by a detailed annual report, which will be submitted to the IMF Board of Directors, as is customary for each member state.
The IMF's reports receive wide circulation and interest in global financial markets and have an impact on the rating of the economies surveyed and on the recommendations of investment banks around the world regarding investments in the Israeli economy.
