police recommends: Netanyahu took bribes
Posted on Feb 18, 2018 by Ifi Reporter
The police recommend that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be tried in cases of 1,000 and 2000 for bribery, fraud and breach of trust. In addition to Netanyahu, the police recommend that the other suspects - billionaire businessman Arnon Milchan and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes - be prosecuted for bribery offenses, and the findings will be handed over to Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit.
In file 1000, Netanyahu is suspected of accepting bribes in the amount of NIS 1 million, while the key to the prime minister in the affair is chairman of the future, MK Yair Lapid. Netanyahu is suspected of receiving bribes from both Milchan and Australian billionaire James Packer, who was questioned in his country about three months ago.
In the 2000 case, Netanyahu and Moses are suspected in a relationship between curbing the strengthening of Israel Hayom by means of legislation and other means. Netanyahu made a special statement in which he rejected the police's recommendations and said they had no status in a democratic state. Netanyahu claimed that for the cigars and the champagne he would not have acted for Milchan, and that what he did for him would have been done for anyone who worked for the State of Israel and needed help, especially when it comes to a close friend.
