The Boxenbaum Neta Foundation, chaired by Israeli businessman Tzvi Neta, has donated an advanced MRI simulator valued at NIS 5 million to Rabin Medical Center, supporting the establishment of a radiotherapy institute and the expansion of advanced cancer treatment services.
The contribution will support the development of the Davidoff Cancer Center at Rabin Medical Center, which includes Beilinson Hospital, and strengthen its capacity to provide advanced treatment to cancer patients from across Israel.
The MRI simulator is intended to support treatment planning for radiotherapy, helping medical teams improve the precision and personalization of cancer care.
Major Investment in Cancer Treatment Infrastructure
The donation represents a significant contribution to the development of radiotherapy services at Rabin Medical Center. The new institute is expected to expand access to advanced oncology care and support the hospital’s efforts to incorporate modern technologies into cancer treatment.
Hospital leadership thanked the foundation and Neta for the contribution.
Dr. Eitan Wirtheim, director of Rabin Medical Center; Professor Gal Markel, director of the Davidoff Cancer Center; and Pinchas Cohen, chairman of the hospital’s Friends Association, expressed their appreciation for the donation, saying it would help advance medical services and improve care for patients.
Decades of Philanthropic Support for Cancer Care
The Boxenbaum Neta Foundation was established in 1972 and has donated tens of millions of shekels to hospitals over the years, with a particular focus on cancer treatment, according to Neta.
“The foundation has supported hospitals for decades, with a particular focus on cancer,” Neta said. “This donation to Rabin Medical Center and Beilinson will enable the establishment of a radiotherapy institute and make a significant contribution to providing advanced medical care to cancer patients.”
Advancing Precision Oncology in Israel
The investment reflects the growing importance of advanced imaging technologies in modern oncology. Accurate imaging can help clinicians define treatment areas and plan radiotherapy more precisely, while supporting efforts to limit exposure of surrounding healthy tissue.
By investing in advanced treatment infrastructure, Rabin Medical Center aims to strengthen its role in providing specialized cancer care to patients from across the country.
About the Boxenbaum Neta Foundation: Established in 1972, the foundation supports hospitals and medical institutions, with a longstanding emphasis on cancer care and treatment.
