“Black Cat”: A New Strategy Game for Children Ages 8 and Up

Israeli game company Shachek Na is launching a new strategy and tactical board game for children aged eight and above: “Black Cat.”

The game combines strategic thinking, planning and tactical decision-making. Players use movement cards to maneuver their wooden black cats across the game board while attempting to push their opponents’ houses off the board.

The winner is the player who manages to keep their house on the board until the very end.

A Game of Strategy and Tactical Moves

During the game, participants select the appropriate cards to control their cats and plan their next moves. The cats can move in different directions according to the cards held by each player.

The central challenge is to anticipate opponents’ moves while positioning the cat strategically to push other players’ houses beyond the edge of the board.

As the game progresses, the number of houses remaining on the board decreases until only one player remains.

What’s Inside the Box?

The “Black Cat” game includes:

  • A game board
  • Four wooden cats
  • 40 wooden houses in four different colors
  • Four wooden trees
  • 40 movement cards

The combination of movement cards and physical game pieces is designed to encourage strategic thinking, planning ahead and interaction between players.

Designed for Family Play

“Black Cat” is intended for players aged 8 and above and is designed as a competitive game in which every move can influence the outcome.

Rather than relying solely on luck, players must decide how to use their cards, where to move their cat and when to attempt to eliminate an opponent's house.

Price: NIS 119.90

The recommended retail price of “Black Cat” is NIS 119.90.

The company says the new game is aimed at families looking for a combination of entertainment, competition and strategic thinking, with simple rules that can be learned relatively quickly while leaving room for increasingly sophisticated tactics.
