Palace Senior Living Network Hosts Maccabiah-Style Sports Festival for Residents

The Palace Senior Living Network recently held a Maccabiah-style sports festival at Palace Modiin, bringing together nearly 200 residents from five Palace retirement communities across Israel.

Residents from Tel Aviv, Lehavim, Modiin, Rishon LeZion, and Ra'anana participated in the network-wide event, competing in swimming and target shooting while celebrating active and healthy lifestyles.

In addition to the sporting competitions, the event featured a festive sports fair that inclu
ded wellness activities, lectures, dancing, and refreshments, creating a lively atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.

The initiative forms part of the Palace network's ongoing commitment to promoting physical activity, social engagement, and overall well-being among its residents.

Yael Arad Presents Awards to Winners

Olympic medalist Yael Arad presented trophies to the individual winners and to the retirement communities that achieved the highest overall results during the competition.

Her participation added a celebratory dimension to the event and highlighted the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle at every age.

"The Palace Maccabiah was a network-wide sporting event that combined competitive swimming and target shooting with a vibrant sports festival," said Hila Dotan, Head of Sports at the Palace Senior Living Network.

"Our goal was not only to encourage friendly competition but also to create an energetic and enjoyable experience that promotes physical activity, social interaction, and community spirit among our residents."
