Automotive Equipment Opens New Changan Sales Center in Carmiel

Automotive Equipment, the official importer of Changan vehicles in Israel, has opened a new Changan sales center in Carmiel, strengthening the Chinese automaker’s presence in northern Israel.

The new facility features a showroom spanning approximately 160 square meters alongside a 560-square-meter service center. The company said it invested approximately NIS 500,000 in establishing the new location.

The Carmiel center is operated by the Hilo family and is designed to provide customers throughout the Galilee with both vehicle sales and comprehensive after-sales services.

Carmiel Mayor Attends Opening Ceremony

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Carmiel Mayor Moshe Koninsky, who congratulated Tzvi Neta, Chairman of Automotive Equipment, on the opening of the new Changan center. Koninsky praised the company's contribution to expanding electric mobility in Israel, noting its positive impact on air quality and environmental sustainability.

Neta said the Carmiel facility marks Changan's seventh sales center in Israel. He added that Automotive Equipment plans to open three additional Changan sales centers across the country during 2026.

Changan Continues Global Expansion

Changan is among the world's largest automotive manufacturers. The company produced approximately 2.6 million vehicles over the past year and has set a strategic goal of increasing annual global sales to 5 million vehicles by 2030.

The company reports annual revenues of approximately 210 billion yuan and employs nearly 80,000 people worldwide.

Strengthening Israel's Electric Vehicle Market

The opening of the Carmiel center reflects Automotive Equipment's continued investment in expanding Changan's national sales and service network while responding to growing demand for electric vehicles in Israel. With additional locations planned, the company aims to further strengthen customer support and improve nationwide accessibility for the Changan brand.
