Intel Israel will support the laboratory for natural language processing and deep learning at Bar-Ilan University. Natural Language Processing is a field of research and technology that deals with computer analysis of human language texts using methods that combine advanced computer science algorithms with linguistic knowledge. The Bar-Ilan laboratory, headed by Prof. Ido Dagan and Prof. Yoav Goldberg, is the largest research group in Israel and one of the world's leading researchers in the field.
This is a project for a three-year joint research program, with funding of NIS 1.5 million. The research focuses on the analysis of multiple texts, the natural semantic representation of sentences and the unification of information, and their applications in a variety of fields, such as summing and searching information interactively.
The Intel language-language research group is located in Ra'anana and aims to make the integration of real-world language processing technology accessible by developing open source and optimizing algorithms at the forefront of technology.
