Palace Ra'anana Opens Hebrew Book Week with Special Musical Tribute to Israeli Poets and Songwriters

Residents of Palace Ra'anana, the assisted living community operated by the Azrieli Group, launched their Hebrew Book Week celebrations with a special event titled "Singing in the Square," featuring actor and singer Dan Shapira.

The performance was dedicated to some of the most influential poets and lyricists in Israeli culture, bringing together music and literature in an evening that celebrated the enduring legacy of Hebrew creativity.

Musical Journey Through Generations of Israeli Poetry

Shapira led an emotional musical program featuring songs inspired by the works of renowned Israeli poets and songwriters, including Ehud Manor, Ali Mohar, Rachel Shapira, and Yehuda Amichai, among others.

The event connected residents with classic works that have shaped Israeli music and literature across generations, creating a shared cultural experience centered on memory, identity, and artistic expression.

Week-Long Program to Feature Writers

As part of Hebrew Book Week, Palace Ra'anana will host a series of meetings and discussions with poets, authors, intellectuals, and creative artists. The events are designed to provide residents with insight into the creative process and to explore the power of words to inspire thought, evoke memories, and stir emotions.

Organizers said the program reflects the community's ongoing commitment to cultural enrichment and lifelong learning.

Culture as a Source of Inspiration at Every Age

Ruti Arazi, Cultural Director at Palace Ra'anana, highlighted the significance of the celebrations.

"Book Week at Palace is a celebration of literature, poetry, and theater that demonstrates how culture remains a source of inspiration at every age," Arazi said.

The week-long series is expected to attract strong participation from residents and guests, reinforcing the central role that literature and the arts continue to play in community life.
