Oded Kattash, head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C., has upgraded the security of his private residence with the installation of a new smart lock system from Yale. Kattash, who recently extended his coaching contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, is widely known for emphasizing strong defensive play on the basketball court — and now appears equally committed to security at home.
The coach recently installed the Yale Linus™ L2 smart lock on the entrance door to his home.
The system enables keyless access through multiple technologies, including fingerprint recognition, keypad entry, smartphone application control, and proximity reader access.
The smart lock is designed to provide both enhanced security and convenience, reflecting the growing demand for connected home protection systems.
PERSONAL INSTALLATION VISIT
During the installation, Avi Kimhazi, CEO of ASSA ABLOY Israel, personally visited Kattash’s home and provided a demonstration of the system’s features and operation.
Kamhi, described as a longtime basketball fan, reportedly guided the coach through the lock’s advanced capabilities and security advantages.
SMART SECURITY MARKET CONTINUES TO GROW
The installation highlights the continued expansion of the smart home security market in Israel, particularly among consumers seeking advanced digital access and remote-control capabilities.
Industry experts say demand for smart locks and connected security systems has accelerated in recent years as homeowners increasingly prioritize convenience, cybersecurity, and integrated home protection technologies.
For Oded Kattash, the move appears to combine two familiar priorities — strong defense and reliable protection.
