Mul-T-Lock Unveils MTL™700, New High-Security Lock Platform - Rotating Magnetic Technology

 Mul-T-Lock on Tuesday announced the launch of MTL™700, a new high-security lock cylinder platform that the company says represents a significant advance in mechanical access control.

The MTL™700 platform combines a patented rotating magnetic mechanism with a telescopic pin structure, creating what the company describes as a dynamic magnetic code designed to resist both conventional lock-picking techniques and more sophisticated burglary methods.

Technology and Key Features

According to Mul-T-Lock, the system incorporates two rotating magnetic elements within the cylinder, adding layer of protection beyond traditional pin-based designs.

The platform also introduces a redesigned key with a single-sided head, intended to improve ease of use and allow for faster visual identification. The system supports multiple locking configurations, including individual keys, keyed-alike systems, and complex master-key hierarchies for residential, commercial, and institutional use.

Controlled Key Duplication

Mul-T-Lock said key duplication for the MTL™700 is tightly controlled and can only be carried out by authorized dealers using an encrypted magnetic card, a measure aimed at preventing unauthorized copying.

Availability and Pricing

The company said the MTL™700 is suitable for private homes, businesses, and large organizations. The recommended retail price is 700 shekels (approximately USD 190), excluding installation.

Mul-T-Lock said the new platform is now available through its authorized reseller network.
