Golden Mall Launches NIS 180 Million Expansion to Add 12,000 Sq and Renovation Project

The Golden Mall has launched a large-scale expansion and renovation project with a total investment of approximately NIS 180 million, aimed at reinforcing its position as one of Israel’s leading shopping destinations.

The mall currently spans 110,000 square meters. Upon completion of the new “Platinum” floor covering, an additional 12,000 square meters, the total area of the complex will increase to 122,000 square meters.

Platinum Floor Focuses on Experiential Retail

The new floor has been designed to deliver an advanced shopping experience, emphasizing open spaces, contemporary design and a diverse brand mix tailored to families and the new generation of consumers.

According to mall management, only a limited number of commercial units remain available on the Platinum floor. Strong demand and high rental rates reflect the growing attractiveness of the complex among leading retail brands.

Construction of the new floor aligns with the global trend toward experiential retail, combining convenience, technology, design, and leisure. The project aims to adapt the mall to changing consumer habits while maintaining its status as a leading national anchor mall.

The stores on the new floor are scheduled to be delivered to tenants in January 2026, with the Platinum floor expected to open to the public in April.

Renovation of Existing Wing and New Anchor Stores

At the same time, the mall’s older wing is undergoing a significant renovation. As part of this process, an XI Mobility store — one of Israel’s leading chains for motorcycles, scooters and electric bicycles — has recently opened.

In addition, new anchor stores for Mango, Fox and Shilav are currently under construction, each spanning more than 500 square meters. These additions are intended to expand the mall’s commercial offering and further strengthen its brand mix.

Facade Upgrade and Interior Enhancements

The expansion is part of a comprehensive renovation program that includes the renewal of all mall facades, with an investment of approximately NIS 15 million. This phase of the project is also expected to be completed in April.

Alongside the construction of the Platinum floor, the Golden Mall has initiated a separate project to upgrade existing retail spaces throughout the complex, with a total investment of NIS 65 million. This move is designed to enhance tenant quality and reinforce the mall’s status as a premier national shopping destination.

Tal Gindi, one of the owners of the Golden Mall, said the expansion represents a long-term strategic investment.

“This is a strategic move designed to preserve and strengthen the Golden Mall’s position as a leading national mall,” Gindi said. “The new floor, together with the renovation of the old wing and the upgraded facades, completes a comprehensive renewal of the mall — inside and out — and enables it to continue generating high economic value over time.”
