Israir updated its baggage policy on the international flights it operates: price will include personal hand luggage only

Posted on Mar 30, 2024 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

On April 1, the airline owned by businessman Rami Levy, Israir, updated its baggage policy on the international flights it operates, according to Passport News, the change will apply to orders made from this date onwards.
In the new change outline that Israir will introduce, in vacation packages abroad the price will include personal hand luggage only, when it is meant for one small personal bag only, the purchase of an additional trolley or suitcase will require an additional payment. So you will most likely have to add quite a bit more money. When booking an Israir flight, the price continues to include personal hand luggage only (a small personal bag). At the same time, on organized trips the price continues to include hand luggage (trolley/large backpack), but there is no change in the luggage policy on domestic flights. Either way, Levy is trying to cut costs when it was recently announced that he plans to stop operations in Terminal 3 and settle for Terminal 1.
Rami Levy profited from abandoning the international airlines. According to the report summarizing the aviation activity at Ben-Gurion International Airport for February 2024. During the month, a total of 748,161 passengers passed through Ben Gurion Airport in 5,720 aircraft movements on international and domestic flights, but Israir obtained the most significant share of this.
The international passenger movement this month stood at 696,700 passengers and represents a decrease of 54.69% compared to February 2023. The international aircraft movement this month stood at 5,224 movements and represents a decrease of 50.23% compared to February 2023.
