The credit company Max published a data report on credit card spending on election day as of 17:00 today (Tuesday). The average Israeli spent today as of the time in question about 1.126 billion shekels on credit cards in Israel and abroad. The average spending on the Hayom card for entertainment and leisure is NIS 238, and in the electrical goods sector NIS 484. The average Israeli spent 277 shekels on the credit card today as of 17:00. By the way, as of 3:00 p.m., the average Israeli spent 269 shekels, and as the hours pass the expenses only keep rising and have already passed the one billion shekel mark.
According to SBA data, the data shows that during the morning hours today, between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., transactions totaling NIS 397.49 million were recorded. This is a sharp jump of 38% in the volume of purchases compared to the previous election day on March 23, 2021. The busiest minute this morning was 11:58 with over 11,500 transactions per minute and expenses totaling NIS 2.42 million.
