The 7th lottery of the occupant price program closed: 19,263 registrants dream of 3,155 apartments

The seventh grand lottery of the occupant price program was closed last Thursday night, with 19,263 eligible registrants. This was reported on Saturday by the Finance Ministry. The lottery includes 3,155 apartments in 23 communities.
The most sought-after city was Be'er Ya'akov with 5,177 subscribers, on 78 apartments, ie the chances of winning 1.5%. The second city in demand was fresh, with 4,844 subscribers, competing for 45 apartments, and the third with 4,097 subscribers, competing for 483 apartments. The fourth city in demand is Beit Shemesh, with 4,084 subscribers competing for 379 apartments in the lottery, and the fifth is Netanya, with 3,404 subscribers, competing for 191 apartments.
 The raffles were designated for the participants of all the series, with preference given to Series A over B and C. The total number of persons enrolled in the first series was 1,591 households, from the second series to 7,467 households, and from the series C to 10,196 households. The data also show that 9,311 registered for only one locality, 4,746 for two localities and 5,174 for three localities.
Other cities with a conspicuous gap between the number of apartments offered and the number of those registering for the lottery: Ofakim registered 439 eligible, competing for 12 apartments. Beitar Ilit has 2,600 eligible residents who registered for 12 apartments. In Sakhnin, on the other hand, all those eligible to register for the lottery are expected to win the apartment, with 61 people who were registered, for a lottery of 99 apartments. In addition, 58 households were registered in Dimona for 50 dwellings.
The lottery will begin in the coming days and will be published at the end of the month. The winners will join more than 60,000 winners in 76 communities across the country who have already won the program. According to Ministry of Finance data, nearly 22,000 apartments in the plan already have a building permit and more than 9,600 additional housing units for full permits. The Ministry of Finance announced that in February 2019 there will be another large lottery that will include Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
