price paid by the dairies to the dairy farms increased from 243.58 cents per liter to 246.52 cents per liter

As of Sunday, the target price of milk (the price paid by the dairies to the dairy farms) increased from 243.58 cents per liter to 246.52 cents per liter - an increase of 2.94 cents representing a 1.9% increase in price.
The increase in price is relatively moderate, as a decrease in animal feed costs is expected and there is already a trend towards a decrease in shipping costs. At the same time, this is a price increase of about 15% since October 2021, when the price of raw milk was 212.99 agoras per liter.
The lack of milk felt in recent months was due to the fact that Tara stopped selling bags of milk, almost completely. The state monitors the price of milk in a bag, and it is considered the cheapest Nigerian milk for the consumer. This is especially important in view of the fact that all regulated dairy products became more expensive starting in September by 4.9%, when some chains, such as Shufersal, raised prices even before the increase in dairy prices came into effect.
