Labor dispute: a demand to hire Ness employees in Hadassah as employees of the hospital

. The Histadrut declared a labor dispute at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, against the background of the struggle of Ness Technologies employees stationed at the medical institution. The dispute concerns about 3,000 hospital employees, and is based, among other things, on the demand to hire Ness employees employed in Hadassah as direct workers in the field of computerization and technical support.
As part of the declaration of the conflict, the Histadrut is demanding that negotiations be held regarding the implications of the organizational change that Hadassah intends to implement (and some have already begun) in its computer system and technical support. The Histadrut warns that the Hadassah administration operates in a manner that is unacceptable in collective labor relations in general and in labor relations in the public sector in particular.
About a week ago, the Jerusalem Labor Court accepted the Histadrut's request and ruled that Ness Technologies and Hadassah Hospital broke a strike in violation of the law when they brought in external workers instead of the strikers' employees. In a harsh letter sent last weekend, the Histadrut warned against taking the court's contempt, after the managements of Ness and Hadassah grossly violated the court's decision and continue to employ external workers despite the provisions of the ruling.
The chairman of the Histadrut in the Jerusalem area, Danny Bonfil, said: "Hadassah hospital management should be responsible for what was done in her yard, to provide solutions and not to evade while allowing Ness to do the work as it pleases. Every day Hadassah brings contract workers instead of the striking workers of Ness, and this means direct damage to workers and a strike. We will not let that happen anymore. "
Chairman of the Hadassah Employees' Committee, Amnon Brochian: "All Hadassah Hospital employees stand by Ness Technologies employees and express their solidarity and support for their just struggle."
