gas prices fell significantly: a drop of 47 agorot compared to November

Posted on Dec 1, 2018 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

At the end of the week, at midnight between Saturday and Sunday, gas prices fell significantly. The price of a liter of gasoline, 95 octane, stands at 6.01 shekels - a drop of 47 agorot compared to November.
Gas prices fell by 11 agorot in November compared to October. Fuel prices in Israel are linked to world oil prices. A significant part of the price of fuel in Israel takes indirect tax aimed at reducing consumption of products.
Fuel prices in Israel are determined by the Fuel Administration, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Water. The Fuel Administration sets a maximum price for 95 octane gasoline. Prices of octane 98 and diesel are not subject to supervision. The updated fuel price comes into effect on the first working day of each month.
