The average net wage paid in the economy for December was NIS 7,339.73, a decrease of 0.1% compared to the average wage in December 2020, which was NIS 7,353.85. The average net salary for March 2020 was NIS 6971.11.
In contrast, the median net salary paid in the economy in December 2021 was NIS 5,891, a decrease of 1.02% compared to the median net salary paid in December 2020 and was NIS 5,952. Despite this, in March 2020 the median wage was only NIS 5,193.

The data also show that in December 2021, employment in the Israeli economy reached a new peak and for the first time since the outbreak of the corona crisis, the number of net wage earners was higher than in March 2020, before the corona crisis.
