finance minister Kahlon: small businesses should be helped

Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon, Economy Minister Eli Cohen and Finance Ministry Director Shai Babad met with Roi Cohen, president of the Association of Independent Organizations, Effi Naveh, head of the Israel Bar Association, Yizhar Kana, president of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Yaron Gindi, The Committee for Assistance to the Self-Employed and Small Businesses.
At the start of the meeting, Minister Kahlon stated that small businesses are important to the Israeli economy and there is no doubt that they should be helped. Therefore, he chose to establish the committee, in order to examine all the aspects and steps that can be helped and ease the burden of tax, regulation and bureaucracy. Minister Kahlon also clarified that the budgetary sources for implementation of the Committee's conclusions will be found and will be implemented by 2019.
Minister of Finance Eli Cohen said that this was the first time that such a committee had been set up to include all the relevant bodies: the Bank of Israel, the National Insurance Institute, the Ministry of the Interior and the Tax Authority. Minister Cohen also asked all heads of the bureaux, as well as Lahav's president, to take part and to be involved in the meetings of the committee.
