MK Biran: proposes a 50% cut in the management fees for pensioners
Posted on Nov 24, 2018 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski
9% of the pensioners in the new pension funds pay the maximum management fees permitted by law. On Sunday, MK Michal Biran, a member of the Zionist camp party, will propose a 50% cut in the management fees for pensioners for a discussion of a ministerial committee for legislation:
MK Biran: "The pension funds have a hobby: to take high management fees from those they can knock - pensioners who are imprisoned without the ability to switch to another fund. As soon as they retire, the pension funds unilaterally update them to a maximum management fee, unable to do anything about it.
According to Biran, the pension funds do what they can to earn, but our role as legislators is to prevent them from exploiting their power.
Not only will my proposal benefit tens of thousands of pensioners, it also has no budgetary cost - and anyone who opposes it favors the pension funds' profit over pensioners, "said Biran.
