Posted on Oct 19, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The public transportation revolution reaches the Jerusalem Corridor. From today (Tuesday), Tnufa will operate the regional and intercity public transportation lines in the Jerusalem Corridor. This, about a year after winning a tender from the Ministry of Transportation, which was intended to increase public transportation services in the area by tens of percent.
As part of the tender, Tnufa will operate 22 urban and regional lines between Kiryat Ya'arim, Abu Ghosh, Har Hadar and the settlements of Mateh Yehuda, including Ksalon, Ramat Raziel, Eitanim, Givat Ya'arim, Tzova, Beit Meir, Shoresh, Shoeva, Ein Rafa, Ein Nakuba, Neve Ilan, Yad Shmona, Nataf, Ma'ale Hahamisha, Kiryat Anavim and Beit Zayit.

In addition, the service system on the lines connecting Beit Shemesh to Jerusalem will be improved, with an emphasis on improving routes within the city of Beit Shemesh, increasing frequency and creating lines for new destinations in Jerusalem, such as Hadassah Ein Kerem and Shaare Zedek hospitals and the Talpiot industrial zone.
In the first phase, Tnufa operates about 70 buses, which will serve 22 lines currently operated by the Superbus company, in addition to spot improvements. As part of this, lines 180, 183, 185, 186, 188, 189, 190, 191, 195, 289, 414, 424, 484 and 630 will be reinforced and improved. Public transport lines 41, 42, 87, 115, 187, 387, 415 and 420 will be operated by Tnufa Company without change.
To order "feed lines" by reading (lines 41 and 42) between the settlements of Kfar Menachem, Kfar Harif, Revadim, Sdot Micha, Tirosh and Geffen, and between the Kiryat Malachi-Yoav train station, download a new Tnufa applet, and order through it The trip in advance, so that the minibuses will only enter the localities where the service was booked, and will save passengers valuable time.
In a few months, Tnufa will operate eight more lines, including regional service lines currently operated by Egged, along with new lines that will meet the expected demand in these localities, in light of their planned expansion.
With the entry of Tnufa Company into the Jerusalem Corridor, the frequency of trips in the Jerusalem Corridor will increase by more than 11%. This is mainly about expanding the frequency of existing lines and adding new lines. The lines will be operated using more than 160 modern buses and electronic information signs (Next Bus) will be placed along the routes, which will update passengers in real time on the arrival times of the buses.
