Still striking: 350 veteran pension fund employees

Posted on Oct 28, 2018 by Ifi Reporter

The strike of 350 veteran pension fund employees under special management, which began on Wednesday, 17.10, will continue today, Monday. The strike continues for the ninth day. As part of the strike, the workers do not perform their daily tasks, including receiving the public, registering rights, providing services to employers and arranging managers in the insurance companies.
In light of the strike, the unilateral management of the funds and their refusal to sign an agreement with the Histadrut and the workers to settle the controversial issues. These include: erosion of workers' rights and the imposition of additional duties on them, discrimination in terms of employment of service center employees, failure to promote workers in collective bargaining agreements, and damage to the committee.
In February, a labor dispute was announced in the funds, but despite the responsibility and restraint exercised by the workers' representatives, the management of the funds is entrenched in its positions and refuses to make concrete proposals to solve the crisis and meet with the workers.
