64% of the students feel the academic system doesn't prepare them for the job market

The National Student Union is publishing the results of a survey conducted by the National Student Union on the quality of teaching for the ninth year. Among other things, the survey reveals that 64% of the students feel that the academic system does not prepare them optimally for the job market, and 83% think that this is the most important issue to be dealt with in academia. On the other hand, there was an improvement in satisfaction with the level of lecturers and courses: 64% were satisfied and very satisfied with the level of the courses, and 68% were satisfied with the lecturers' attitude toward them. The institutions in which the students expressed the highest satisfaction with the quality of the teaching were the Ruppin Academic Center, the Open University and the Tel Hai Academic College. On the other hand, the institutions in which the students expressed the lowest satisfaction were Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Afeka College and Ort Braude College of Engineering.
