Israeli Aidoc has raised $ 66 million in Round C - raising its total investment to $ 140 million

Posted on Jul 13, 2021 by Ifi Reporter

Aidoc, which has developed artificial intelligence (AI) technology for deciphering imaging images in hospitals, announced today (Tuesday) that it has raised $ 66 million in Round C. The American General Catalyst Fund led the round, raising its total investment in the company to $ 140 million.
The company refuses to provide financial data on its activities, but notes that "raising such a growth fund is based on revenue, not a distant dream." The company's previous investors also participated in the latest round of funding - the Australian fund Square Peg, TLV Partners, Magma Alpha Intelligence Capital and Maor Investments.

Idok was founded in 2016 by three Talpiot graduates - Elad Wallach (CEO) Michael Berginsky (VP of Technology) and Guy Reiner (VP of Development). The company employs 190 people - 150 in Israel and 40 in Europe and the US - and now wants to recruit another 100, most of whom will be absorbed in Israel.
The company has developed a platform that connects to hospital systems, and serves as a tool for radiologists. Various "modules" can be added to it, each of which is designed to diagnose a different medical condition. The system analyzes CT scans using computer vision algorithms, and automatically detects critical findings, such as cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, stroke and spinal fractures. The system works in parallel with the radiologist, and serves as a "pair of additional eyes" for him, or a "safety net". For example, if the system detects a serious and urgent finding on a CT scan, such as bleeding or pulmonary embolism, it will send a "red code" to the medical staff, so that the subject receives prompt treatment.
Aydoc has received six approvals from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and its platform is installed in hundreds of hospitals in the US, as well as in hospitals in Europe, Brazil and Australia. Radiology Partners.
In Israel, the system is installed in seven hospitals - Hadassah and Shaare Zedek in Jerusalem, Ichilov in Tel Aviv, Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson and Hasharon) in Petah Tikva, Sheba in Tel Hashomer, Assaf Harofe and Assuta Centers.
