Ceragon has signed commercial agreements in Peru worth $ 25 million

Ceragon has signed commercial agreements with Orocom, a new communications operator in Peru, to provide broadband connectivity to millions of citizens in rural areas of Peru. Ceragon will provide an end-to-end solution for broadband wireless network infrastructure in rural areas of Junin, Puno and Moquegua-Tacna. While these commercial agreements will provide Ceragon with $ 25 million in orders, in addition to $ 1 million in orders already received, total orders from this project could reach $ 36 million. Ceragon expects to recognize most of the revenues from this project over the next two years.
The FITEL Government Communications Fund (FITEL) has selected Orocom to deploy data transmission and access capabilities in networks in 3 of 6 regions through fiber optic and wireless technologies. Orocom is held by a consortium of companies, including companies that hold communications licenses, as well as companies specializing in fiber-optic technologies. In view of Ceragon's growing presence and past experience in deploying high-capacity wireless solutions on the network of telecommunications service providers in Peru, Ceragon played an important role in winning the project consortium by providing consultancy and initial wireless network design for this project.
With Ceragon's expertise in wireless networks, it will provide wireless transmission solutions and wireless access solutions, including network planning, equipment, integration and integrative services, as well as consulting services. In response to wireless transmission equipment, Ceragon will provide its IP-20 platform that enables rapid, scalable and reliable network deployments along challenging terrain, such as the Andes, and overcoming the microwave wave propagation challenges in the lake and deserts of southern Peru.
