The Ministry of Economy allocates NIS 52 million to the program for the assimilation of advanced manufacturing technologies throughout the country
Eli Cohen, Minister of Economics and Industry: "Investment in advanced production is another tool in the framework of the Ministry of Economy's efforts to raise productivity, improve the competitiveness of Israeli industry, increase profitability and wage levels of workers,
In accordance with Government Decision 3392 of 11/1/2018, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, through the Investment Authority, seeks to encourage industrial enterprises to make the transition to industry-based manufacturing through participation in the risk involved in the assimilation of advanced technologies.
Technological development in recent years, also known as the "fourth industrial revolution" (industry 4.0), connects physical space, online space (digital) and human space. This development transforms conventional planning and production processes into intelligent processes, at the center of which is information flow, connectivity or monitoring, collection and analysis of production data for value creation in the production or supply chain processes.
Most of the Israeli industry is accustomed to planning and manufacturing processes using conventional methods, which lead, among other things, to low productivity, the transfer of production to countries where manufacturing is done by low-wage workers, the inability to cope in real time with the variance and fluctuations in demand and the inability to cope with globalization processes.
Accordingly, the Director General's Directive 4.54 was formulated to assist in the assimilation of advanced production technologies in the plant or in the production line in the plant in order to improve the business results of the plant throughout the country.
