HOT will start selling consumers very fast Internet without a promissing price tag: the company has revealed the prices of its fiber-optic infrastructure - for the Internet with a download speed of up to 1 GB and an upload speed of 100 MB.
The company will charge NIS 149 per month for the infrastructure (NIS 119 per month for the first 3 months) and NIS 19.90 for a router (modem) not including installation. Installation will cost NIS 14.90 per month for 36 months. In addition, it will offer a launch sale until the end of the month at a price of NIS 7.50 per month for 36 months. This is a high price compared to the other competitors Partner, Cellcom but the same as Bezeq.
Price for a triple: NIS 339 per month, NIS 199 per month for 3 months, not including installation fees and a router. Prices include HOTnet provider. Other vendors are not currently selling the new HOT service, which recently became a partner in IBC, the fiber-optic venture of IEC and Cellcom, among others.
The company has over 600,000 households that can be attached to fiber. "By the end of 2026, we will reach close to 2 million households," announced the company's CEO, Tal Granot. "From today, Israel's surfing standard will change."
It also announced the cancellation of 100 and 200 MB speeds for the company's customers. "We are closing the speed of 100 MB. We will upgrade over 120,000 customers of 100 and 200 MB to 500 MB in a quarter, with the price remaining fixed for a year. After a year the price will increase by NIS 20 per month. New customers will be able to join the company from "200 MB. These are customers who have a support router. Those who do not have a support router will be able to upgrade it for the price of the router. At the same time, we will upgrade the Internet equipment."
At the same time it launched more successful home internet solutions. HOT BOX 5F - Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) wireless router, which supports MESH technology and is managed by a dedicated application that will manage the home network: from changing settings, setting up a guest network, parental control and a personal assistant for troubleshooting and optimization suggestions.
Like Bezeq, the company will also sell range enhancers - in the Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.11ax), which support Mesh technology, which enable high-speed maintenance throughout the house.
In addition, fiber customers (of HOT only) will get a new TV interface that does not require a converter (for those who own a smart TV). This is an app called HOT TV that features an interface that contains new features such as: Binge and cloud recordings The service will be available on smart TVs and streamers. There is currently no Netflix button in the interface. Customers using non-HOT fiber infrastructure will use a converter or Next app.
The company has also launched a new streamer for those who do not have a smart TV: HOT Streamer includes a new remote with shortcut buttons for VOD and digit buttons for easy switching between channels. It is based on the Android TV platform and allows access to the Google app store.
