Suspected Car-Ramming Attack in Sharon: Eight Injured - Manhunt Underway

Posted on Jul 24, 2025 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

A suspected car-ramming terror attack occurred Thursday morning near Kfar Yona in the Sharon region, leaving eight people injured, five of them in moderate condition, and three lightly wounded.

The incident took place at a bus stop on Route 57, at the entrance to Kfar Yona. According to Magen David Adom (MDA), the report of the collision came in at 9:25 a.m., and emergency medics quickly arrived at the scene to provide first aid.

The suspected attacker, who was driving a white Toyota, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Police launched an extensive manhunt with the help of motorcycle units, a helicopter from the police air unit, and canine tracking teams.

The vehicle was later found in the Beit Lid area, and roadblocks were placed on crossings near Tulkarm, which have been temporarily closed.

The Central District Commander also ordered the activation of all emergency response squads in surrounding communities.

Victims Evacuated to Hospitals in Central Israel

All eight victims were fully conscious at the time of evacuation, suffering mostly from limb injuries. They were transported to several hospitals, including:

  • Laniado Hospital in Netanya

  • Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera

  • Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba

MDA emergency medical technician Idan Haras described the scene:

"There was chaos and destruction when we arrived. Several people had been hit by a vehicle. We began life-saving treatment, including stopping bleeding and bandaging wounds, and quickly transported the injured to hospitals."

Police Investigating Motive

While the motive has not been officially confirmed, authorities are treating the incident as a suspected intentional attack due to the nature of the collision and the driver’s flight from the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
