Colmobil Energy Signs NIS 4.5 Million Deal to Install 70 Solar + Storage Systems in Shapira Center

Posted on Nov 11, 2025 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Colmobil Energy, a leading company in Israel’s home solar energy market, has signed an agreement with a buyers’ group from the Shapira Center to install approximately 70 residential solar systems with battery storage, including automatic cleaning units. The value of the deal is estimated at NIS 4.5 million.

The systems range in size from 15 to 22 kW and are being installed on roofs larger than 80 square meters, including both tiled and concrete roofs.

“Every Home Can Become a Small Power Station”

Aviv Pepper, CEO of Colmobil Energy, said the combination of solar production with energy storage allows households to achieve greater resilience:

“Solar systems with storage allow every home to be energy resilient — every home becomes a small power station. The power of a purchasing group makes it possible to secure excellent, tailored conditions without compromising on personal support throughout the process.”

New National Regulations to Drive Massive Market Expansion

The deal comes ahead of new national regulations announced by the Ministry of Energy and the Planning Administration, requiring solar energy systems on the roofs of private homes larger than 100 square meters for all new construction starting December 2025.

These regulations are expected to generate tens of thousands of additional rooftop installations, with a total projected output of 3,500 MW by 2040.

A market study cited by the company notes that approximately 10,000 private houses are built annually in Israel, with an average system cost of around NIS 70,000 — representing a market potential of about NIS 700 million per year.
