Rada Electronic Industries, which is a global leader in the development and manufacture of tactical radar for the maneuvering force, reports that it's multi-mission radars, embedded in Rafael's advanced anti-drone defense system, will be delivered to the British Army in the coming months.
The British Army is the first customer of the new and advanced Drone Dome system and has purchased several systems with the potential for significant follow-up orders expected to be received in the coming months and quarters.
Rafael's Drone Dome team, in cooperation with Rada and other companies, won a tender published by the British Ministry of Defense. Elta (the subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries) and the Italian company Leonardo also competed in the tender.
RADA's MHR radar provides 360-degree aerial scanning and scouting at a distance of 3 to 5 kilometers, and a sensor system allows for the classification and identification of threats, and a radio frequency blocker enables the electronic suspension of the threat.
The supply of orders under this contract is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

"
