This week, the Ministry of Health approved the HMOs to start vaccinating recoverers aged 16 and over. After three months of recovery, patients will be given only one vaccine dose. However, anyone who falls ill between the first and second dose will not receive an additional vaccine.
At first the Ministry of Health considered vaccinating those recovering with modern vaccines, but eventually it was decided that they would receive the Pfizer vaccine, as the deliveries of the vaccine doses given to the entire population would continue to arrive.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, there are more than 700,000 recovering patients across the country. Of these, about 400,000 people will be able to receive the vaccine, as the time required since their recovery has passed.
