Orbit reports two significant agreements in the US market in the field of aviation worth NIS 13 million. Orbit Technologies, which deals with satellite communications, tracking systems and communications and audio systems, announced that it has received a first execution order under the strategic framework agreement signed by the company with the US Air Force last month for a total of NIS 109 million.
The order for upgrading, servicing and maintenance for ADAS airborne communications management systems on US Air Force KC-135 aircraft is approximately NIS 9 million. The framework agreement signed for the provision of internal communications systems and upgrading of the operating units in the American Air Force's KC-135 aircraft is for five years.
In addition, Orbit reports that a leading US aircraft manufacturer and supplier to the US Department of Defense has ordered a number of digital audio management systems to be installed in its fighter aircraft at a total value of NIS 3.8 million. This order joins previous orders from this customer, and the supply of the systems is expected in 2019.
Orbit has been selected to provide the airborne communications management systems in the US Air Force refueling aircraft and to provide service and support to systems over the years. These are mission critical systems in the operational aircraft array in the US Air Force, and the rapid implementation of the first order within less than a month of signing the framework agreement attests to the clear and immediate need for this aircraft system in Orbit's unique systems.
Orbit's audio management systems will be provided to the leading US aircraft manufacturer based on a dual IP Ring topology providing 3D audio, adaptive noise reduction, intercom operation with voice recognition, built-in redundancy, reduced weight and system flexibility for aircraft of any size, both civilian and military. Orbit's AMS digital systems are fully secured and allow the air crew to control any aircraft communication device for VoIP, digital and analog communications.
"We are very proud to have signed two important agreements for Orbit in the US aviation market, which include two of Orbit's most advanced systems, which are important growth engines for the company for the coming years," said Orbit CEO Eitan Livneh. "After signing with the US Air Force We have received the first execution order to cover the activities by the end of 2018. We see this as an expression of confidence in Orbit's capabilities, which will continue to provide service and support to these vital systems in the coming years. At the same time, we signed an important deal with one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the US, which is in line with our strategy to deepen our ties with the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, complete the development according to their demands and ensure repeat orders. "
