"Idit" Catering Honors Employees for Service During Wartime Operations

Posted on Sep 16, 2025 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Leading Israeli catering company "Idit", part of the Dan Hotels Group, held a special end-of-summer event last week to recognize the efforts of its employees, managers, clients, and suppliers. The gathering, which brought together 120 participants, served as a heartfelt tribute to the company’s dedication—particularly during Israel’s ongoing security challenges.

The event honored Idit’s managerial and operational teams, who have provided continuous support over the past two years to the IDF and security forces, often in active combat zones and under fire.

“Our people have been working in extremely difficult terrain and dangerous conditions,” said Idit CEO Ran Katzman during the ceremony. “They’ve shown immense courage and commitment, and this event is our way of saying thank you.”

Recognizing Excellence Amid Conflict

Katzman also took the opportunity to unveil the names of the three outstanding employees selected from among Idit’s 1,200-strong workforce, citing their exceptional performance since the outbreak of the “Iron Swords” war.

While the names of the honorees were not made public in the press release, Katzman emphasized that their dedication reflects the company's core values of resilience, teamwork, and service.

Feeding the Nation: 75,000 Meals a Day

Operating across a wide range of sectors, Idit delivers an impressive 75,000 meals daily to over 100 companies and organizations, including defense-related clients. Its logistical and culinary capabilities have made it a critical partner during times of both peace and conflict.

In 2024, Idit recorded a revenue cycle of approximately 400 million NIS, underscoring its significant presence in Israel’s food service and logistics sectors.

In his remarks, Katzman highlighted the company’s unique role during wartime, often working shoulder-to-shoulder with military units in the field.

“We are an integral part of the security forces,” he said. “We are with them at all times and in all places—always ready for any task. And it’s all thanks to you—our managers and employees—with your huge hearts and endless dedication.”

Katzman concluded by pointing to the company’s continued growth, attributing it not only to business strategy, but also to the human quality of its team.

“We are in a period of growth, and in the end, it is human quality that wins,” he said.
