Two months after the government approved the national plan for digital health as a means of improving health and preventing growth of a budget of NIS 1 billion, the Israel National Office for Digital Israel announced today the launch of a new program for pilots in health organizations in Israel. The program supports research and development programs and pilot facilities in the field of digital health, which will be carried out in health organizations in Israel or based on their abilities, data or information. The track is a joint track of the Innovation Authority, the Ministry of Health and the Digital Israel Headquarters in the Ministry for Social Equality.
The track is intended for Israeli technology companies (other than one of the health organizations in Israel) in the fields of medicine and health, which will receive financial support at the rate of 50% -20% of the approved R & D expenditures. Support for an exceptional rate of 60% or 75% of the approved R & To an extraordinary effect on the promotion of the health and public health system in Israel and abroad, or as a technological breakthrough in its field.
The track will enable the Company to make significant progress in the readiness of the product for commercialization and assist in promoting its penetration into the market through the implementation of the test site. The route offers participation in the risks involved in the development process, but not in future profits or successes. A subsidized company will return to the innovation authority the funding it received by paying royalties from sales, only if the venture succeeded in reaching the commercialization stage.
