A labor dispute was declared at Pelephone company

A labor dispute was declared in Pelephone. The chairman of the union of cellular, Internet and high-tech workers in the Histadrut, Yaki Halutzi, informed the company's CEO, Ran Guron. The dispute will apply to approximately 2,600 employees of the Company. It was announced against the background of the intention to make organizational and structural changes to Pelephone, including merger and consolidation of activities, with the parent company Bezeq or with the subsidiaries of Bezeq. It should be noted that the changes, if implemented, have critical implications for the workers 'conditions, their rights and their employment security, while significantly undermining the workers' organizational status and power.
Within the framework of the conflict, the employees' representatives are required to receive details and data on the planned organizational and structural changes in order to hold the necessary consultation. In addition, the employees demand that negotiations be held for the signing of a collective agreement that will regulate the rights of Pelephone's employees and guarantee them a safety net while protecting against the implications of such planned changes.
"I call on the managements of Bezeq and Pelephone to act with integrity and fairness towards employees, while respecting the existing agreements between the parties," said Yaki Halutzi, chairman of the Histadrut's cellular, Internet and high-tech union. The Histadrut will stand firm to protect the rights of the company's employees and will not accept any change that could serve as an incentive to harm employees. "
Barak Levy, Chairman of the Pelephone Workers' Committee, emphasized that: "The committee made sure to transfer on a number of occasions to all the relevant parties that any significant change in the structure of the group will not be carried out in the event that this is done unilaterally, while harming the dedicated and professional employees of Pelephone. The committee closely monitors developments on the subject and is prepared for any scenario, whatever it may be. "
