Itzik Zaig is expected to announce his resignation as CEO of Osem and will be replaced by Avi Ben Asayag, who has served as acting CEO and director of Strategy, Business Development, Economics and Planning for the last three years.
Ben Asayag served in the past as CEO of IDB Tourism and CEO of Delek Israel. Ben-Asayag is an under graduate of the School of Economics and Accounting at Tel Aviv University and a graduate of Harvard Business School.
Zaig holds a bachelor's degree in soil and water engineering from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
Zaig began his career with the Osem Group and later served as vice president of marketing for Nestlé in New Zealand. That was the last job he filled before replacing Gasi Kaplan as CEO. Osem Profit in the first half of 2016 amounted to NIS 193 million and revenues of NIS 2.05 billion.
